What is a Raffle?
A raffle is represented in a Shopify store as a product. Merchants must define the number of tickets available in the raffle, as well as an end date to ensure that the raffle concludes appropriately. This customizable product on the store is assigned an inventory quantity that directly correlates with the number of tickets available in the raffle. When the raffle is active, customers obtain tickets by purchasing the product generated by Sweepstaker. When an order is placed containing the raffle product, Sweepstaker automatically assigns the appropriate number of tickets to the customer.
The Raffle Lifecycle
-
Create a Raffle
A raffle is created as a product in your Shopify store. You determine the number of tickets available and the methods by which customers can obtain them.
-
Assign Tickets to Customers
During the raffle, customers can acquire tickets through Free Entry Routes or by purchasing them on your Shopify store.
-
The Raffle Ends
A raffle must have an end date set. If all of the tickets are assigned, or the end date is reached, the raffle will automatically conclude. You will then have the opportunity to draw the winning tickets.
-
Deliver Prizes to Winners
Once the raffle has been drawn, Sweepstaker will either automatically deliver the prizes to the winners, or you can manually deliver them.
